Dr. Ella Karimi’s journey into dentistry began at San Jose State, where she majored in Human Physiology and Anatomy. She attended Meharry Medical College in Nashville and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1998, then attended Hospital Dentistry residency at Nashville’s General Hospital. Dr. Karimi’s excellence in her field has not gone unnoticed; she has earned the Willis E. Lewis Award, Best of Los Gatos Award, Talk of Town Award, and America’s Best Dentists, and is a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society. In addition, she is proud to be a part of the American Society of Implant and Reconstructive Dentistry (ASIRD), which has been recognized by the Silicon Valley Magazine as the top dental implant team in Silicon Valley. Dr. Karimi is also a member of American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE).

Because of the opportunities afforded to her, Dr. Karimi believes in giving back to the community. She is involved with charities such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, New York Road Runners’ Team for Kids, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and supports her local Los Gatos-Saratoga School District.

Outside of work and philanthropy, Dr. Karimi is married to Dr. Yagobi, whom she met in dental school, and they have two sons. She prioritizes spending time with her family and is an avid runner, racing at events like the California International Marathon, New York Marathon, Chicago Marathon, and Berlin Marathon. On top of running, she loves to ski.

Since 2002 at Orchid Dental Care, Dr. Karimi fosters a warm environment that welcomes patients with open arms and treats everyone like family. While she loves helping her patients live healthier lives by providing dental care, her favorite part of the job is working with generations of patients from the same family and building community with grandparents, parents, and children.
